     What is Power-Grid, and how does it work?
  Power-Grid works as a fully-customizable remote control for your PC, allowing you to easily control your PC, games and applications from your mobile device. Power-Grid itself consists of two components: the Launcher and the App. The launcher is installed on your PC, and sends pre-rendered data to the app component on your mobile device via Wi-Fi. Therefore, you configure Power-Grid on your PC through the launcher in order to use your mobile device as a remote control.

  A Control is a subcomponent of a Grid. You can use these Controls to control your PC or your game/application with ease from your mobile device. You can use either predefined Controls, or you can make your own custom ones to insert into Grids.

  The Tab bar is a horizontally-scrollable field at the bottom (iOS) or top (Android) of the Power-Grid app. It consists of Tabs which, when clicked on, display the corresponding Grid.

     What is additional content?
  Additional content consists of both free addon content, and paid-for, premium content that will be released in the future. This content adds to the functionality of Power-Grid, and may consist of:
  

  • Icons for games/applications.

  • Additional predefined Grids.
  • Packages, which will include all of the above.

     What is the Incoming Center?
  The Incoming Centre is your personal message center. It collates messages and content across different platforms, offering them to you in one place. In it, you can connect your Facebook, Skype, Twitter, and e-mail accounts, as well as view RSS feeds.

     How can I connect another device to Power-Grid, or delete an existing connection?
  Click on the “SETTINGS” tab and then click on “ROCCAT™ Power-Grid Settings” on the navigation panel on the left. A new device can be paired by clicking on “+ADD NEW DEVICE” under the “Registered Devices” section. A paired device can also be deleted in this section. Simply highlight the device in question and click on “DELETE DEVICE”.

     Is it possible to use Power-Grid via cable or bluetooth connection?
  There is no inbuilt solution for direct cable or bluetooth connection. However, our community user Vixus found out, that using Tethering on your mobile device allows Power-Grid to run even with a wired or bluetooth connection. Almost every smartphone offers Tethering functionality, so there is a high chance, that you can use a wired or bluetooth connection in that way. If you want to use cable, connect it now and follow the steps. For bluetooth tethering simply follow the same steps and carry out the tasks displayed on your mobile device:
  
  For Android:
  Go to Settings -> More Settings (Wireless and Network) -> Tethering and Personal Hotspot -> USB/Bluetooth tethering
  
  For iOS (iPhones only):
  Go to Settings -> Cellular -> Personal Hotspot (WiFi/USB/Bluetooth)
  
  Afterwards your device is connected to your PC via a virtual network adapter. Check the adapter details, if you need to know the used ip addreses.

     The App can't find my PC in the server list!
  In order to let the app find your PC, both devices have to be logged in to the same network. Make sure that your mobile device isn't logged in to a guest wifi account. Further check, wheter a firewall is blocking the Power-Grid Launcher software on your PC. If you still can't find your PC, try to enter the IP adress manually by choosing "Enter IP Address" in the host selection list on your app.

     The App can't connect to my PC!
  There are several issues, which can cause communication troubles between the PC and the mobile device:
  

  1. Make sure your PC and your mobile device are connected to the same local network.
  2. It is possible, that pairing your mobile device with your PC is necessary.
  3. Firewalls can often deny communication between devices. Allow Power-Grid in your firewall to use in- and outgoing connections or turn it temporarily off to check, whether your firewall causes the problems.
  4. Some firewalls may run as a background process even after deactivation. Therefore deactivating it won't shut it down. A temporarily deinstallation of your firewall could unlock the communication between your PC and your mobile device.

     How do I create a new Grid, and where can I find predefined Grids?
  Grids can be created in two ways:
  

  1. Click on the “CREATE” tab and then click on “NEW” next to the Grid area on the right.
  2. Click on the “CREATE” tab and then select “New Grid…” from the dropdown menu at the top of the Grid area on the right.

  To load predefined Grids, click on the “CREATE” tab and then select “Preset Grids” or “Premium Grids” from the dropdown menu at the top of the Grid area on the right.

     How can I configure and insert Controls in my Grids?
  Click on the “CREATE” tab and note the Control area on the left. The Control area contains a list of all available Controls. After clicking on a Control of your choosing, you can configure it in the “CONTROL EDITOR” area in the center. When you have finished configuring the Control, you can insert it in your Grid either by clicking and dragging the finished icon into a free Grid slot, or by clicking on “ADD TO GRID”. Please note that not all Controls can be configured.

     How do I insert and re-arrange Grids in my Tab bar?
  Click on the “CREATE” tab, select the relevant Grid, and then click on “ADD AS TAB” at the bottom of the Grid area. Grids can be re-arranged using the left and right arrow keys to the left of the “ADD AS TAB” button. Please note that a Grid deleted from the Tab will still be available via the dropdown menu at the top of Grid area.

     How can I save my Controls and where can I find them?
  Click on the “CREATE” tab and then click on save/save as beneath the “CONTROL PREVIEW” window in the center. Your saved Controls can be found under “Custom Controls” in the dropdown menu at the top of the Control area on the left.

     How can I delete a Control?
  If you want to remove a Control from your Grid, you have two possibilities to do so in Power-Grid Launcher:
  
  - select the Control you want to remove simply by left clicking and press the DEL button on your keyboard
  - drag and drop the Control onto the delete field (last field) left to the Grid preview

  Your Power-Grid user data (i.e. your Grids and Controls) can be found in “…\My Documents\ROCCAT\Power-Grid”.

     How do I share my Grids and Controls with friends?
  Click on the “CREATE” tab and then click on “EXPORT PACKAGE” at the bottom of the Control area on the left. This will bring up a new window, in which you can select which Controls and/or Grids you want to export. After finalizing your selection, click on “EXPORT”. Alternatively, you can copy the data from your Power-Grid folder. The relevant data file will have the “.json” file extension, and be found in the CustomGrids folder.

     How do I open and use the Macro Manager?
  Click on the “CREATE” tab and then navigate to “BUTTON PRESETS > Custom Buttons” in the Control area on the left. Using either the “Custom Button: Easy” or “Custom Button: Master” options, you can create a macro by selecting “Assign a macro …” from the Function dropdown menu in the middle. This will bring up a new window, in which you can record your macro. After finalizing your macro, click “OK”.

     How can I set up my email account for the Incoming Center?
  Click on the “SETTINGS” tab and then click on “E-Mail Settings” on the navigation panel on the left. Enter the relevant data from your e-mail provider, i.e. the server and port, if relevant, (e.g. mail.roccat.org), your username and password, and the protocol type and security. If you are using 2 step verification for your e-mail account (e.g. gmail), please make sure to use the generated password with Power-Grid.

     What is RSS and how can I add RSS feeds in Power-Grid?
  RSS (Rich Site Summary) is a format for delivering web content. RSS feeds are commonly found on news sites, blogs, and other sites with regularly changing content. They save you time by summarizing content from sites you’re interested in, without having to visit each site individually. Look out for the RSS icon on the site you’re interested in and take a note of the link to its RSS feed in full (e.g. http://www.gamestar.de/news/rss/news.rss); you will need this link in order to access the RSS feed.
  
  To add RSS feeds in Power-Grid, click on the “SETTINGS” tab and then click on “RSS Settings” on the navigation panel on the left. Activate the “Active” checkbox under the “General” section. Then click “+ADD” under the “Feed URLs” section, and input the link in full to the RSS feed of your choosing. Finally, click “APPLY”.

     How can I change the Power-Grid language?
  You can easily change the language of the Power-Grid Launcher software in the bottom left corner of the launcher window. Just click on the country flag icon and choose your language.

     Why is my macro not working?
  Makros include usually shortcuts, text messages and delays. In order to execute makros ingame it is sometimes necessary to set some delays. These will be set to just a few milliseconds, so the macro is executed fluently right after pushing a button. If a slow PC or too high graphics settings (low FPS) are present, it is possible that delay times won't be used properly, because they are too short.  Raising the delay times fixes correct macro execution in those cases.

     My buttons are not working ingame!
  For some games it may be necessary to launch Power-Grid and the game itself as "administrator". Afterwards Power-Grid can sent it's input commands to the game and the button execution should work without any issues.

     InApp purchase isn't working properly!
  If there are some issues with the Google Play Store while trying to buy something, this may solve these problems:
  
  On your Android device navigate to
  --> Settings
  --> Application Manager (Apps)
  --> Google Play Services
  --> Clear Cache
  
  Afterwards the Google Play store inside Power-Grid should work properly.

     The tab slots I bought aren't unlocked anymore!
  After a reinstallation of the Power-Grid App it may be necessary to let the App communicate with the store (Apple App Store/Google Play Store) to verify, which tabs were already bought on your account. To do this simply click on the "Buy an additional tab slot" button to start the transaction process. A store popup should now appear, asking for buy confirmation. At this point do not confirm, but cancel the transaction. Afterwards the tabs you've bought already should be unlocked again without charging you again.

     Buttons aren't displayed properly!
  Sometimes there may be corrupt data in the mobile device cache. This leads to display errors like invisible buttons or button parts. After connecting Power-Grid to your PC, go to the APP SETTINGS tab on your mobile device and use the CLEAR APP CACHE function.

     How to install the News Center?
  You can download the ROCCAT News Center directly from the Power-Grid Store like any other Grid. Make sure to click OK when the install prompt appears. It can take a while to import all data in the corresponding folder on your desktop. After this process is completed, you will be asked to re-launch Power-Grid. When you have logged back into the Power-Grid launcher, the ROCCAT News Center and all its functions will be available.

     Why is there no content displayed in my News Center Feed?
  The feeds found in the Power-Grid™ News Center are from different sources and provide content in different ways. If you switch between feeds and view different articles you may wonder why you’ve landed on a page displaying nothing but a bare background image. This is caused by a missing compatibility between feeds. Specifically, some feeds have more content than others: if you read a long article and scroll down, your page position is stored, porting you to exactly the same position on the new page. If this page has less content than the previous one, you’ll be ported far below the page’s content. To view the content, simply scroll up.
