The collective called. Magicians, witchmasters, elves and dwarves really extinguished the flame of the orks, trolls, ogres and black elves. ROCCAT, main sponsor of the Role Play Convention 2008, revealed itself to be a thoroughbred role player.
The Role Play Convention took place on 26th until 27th April 2008. Here is our review ...

		TimeRunRaid with Onlinewelten.com Magisters’ Terrace was played – one of the best-known timerun instances. The best time achieved by Addicted of 18:48 minutes was unable to be beaten by the new mTw.AMD team. Twice they just missed the given time by a matter of a few minutes. We would like to once again wholeheartedly thank Andreas Athanasiadis, alias “Greeky”, for his exciting and gripping moderation during the timerun spectacle.

		Armor from BattleHeat It was a total success; the official, licensed Paladin armor from WoW could be seen live at the ROCCAT booth. Tobias Schnittger, the smithy responsible for the creation, explained to the visitors how armor is constructed, what preparations need to be made and how much time it takes to make such an epic piece of armor. The Paladin armor took 500 hours to make and cost many thousands of euros.

		The art of Rob Leuchtenberger There was a huge rush to see Rob Leuchtenberger. The Hamburg fantasy artist Rob Leuchtenberger drew live at the ROCCAT booth. Every visitor was able to look over his shoulder at how he drew WoW characters or artistically curved names. Stroke by stroke, he delved deeper into the magical fantasy world and presented his onlookers with his unique works of art.

		New mTw.AMD WoW team presented Germany’s highly-regarded eSports clan announced its new partnership with the renowned processor manufacturer AMD and at the same time presented its new WoW team. In collaboration with Buffed.de, we hosted a WoW timerun. For this the new mTw team split up to play through Magisters’ Terrace, Mount Hyjal and Zul’Aman in a race against the clock. They split up over two stands: four played on the ROCCAT stand while one played on the Buffed stand which was just opposite.

		Premier for Age of Conan One of the programmers of Age of Conan was at hand to chat and give answers to RPC onlookers. As the game was still in beta status at the time, onlookers were able to get a sneak preview of the game. Shouting and cheering broke out as numerous Age of Conan beta accounts were given away to the visitors at the RPC. We would like to once again thank our partner Eidos for this.

		Lord of the Rings for life The German community manager of Lord of the Rings Online revealed the latest information about the hotly await patch (book 13) at the ROCCAT booth. Gamers are anticipating a new area called “Forochel” where they, among other things, will need to dare new adventures on the side of the well-know heroes of Lord of the Rings. A highlight was the prize draw of the LOTR lifetime subscription at the end of the show. The lucky winner received the limited edition Collector’s Edition.
